Following the retirement of longtime coach Bob Magee, the Union College men's soccer program was turned over to Aldo Nardiello, and the Dutchmen have gotten off to a fast start in the Nardiello-era.
Union is 6-3 and ranked ninth in the latest Northeast Region poll. The Dutchmen lost to 10th ranked RPI 2- 1 Saturday in Troy.
Before coming to Union, Nardiello was the head coach at the University at Albany for four seasons and an assistant for one. Under Nardiello, Albany appeared in the ECAC championships from 1988-90, and won the title in 1989 after going 18-2 that year.
